Bailey Wright “Buzzing” To Be Back Playing And With Result

3 January 2015

Preston North End’s Bailey Wright had a perfect afternoon at Deepdale as he helped North End dump Norwich City out of the FA Cup on his return to action.

The Aussie, who was part of the Socceroos World Cup squad, started alongside Paul Huntington at the heart of the PNE defence on Saturday.

And after helping the team to a cleansheet and a place in the fourth round draw following a 2-0 win, Wright was delighted to have played his part.

“I was buzzing,” said Bailey, when asked how it felt to be back on the hallowed Deepdale turf.

“It has been three months today since I played my last game, so to get out there was nice, but to get a win and a cleansheet was an added bonus.

“It was something I was looking to do when I was first going out, and it was nice to get the boots back on and go out there and win a game of football.”
