Manager Looking For Quick Reaction From Players

8 January 2015

Preston North End manager Simon Grayson is hoping for a positive result against Sheffield United to bounce back from a disappointing result in the JPT.

The Lilywhites lost 2-0 at home to Walsall in the Northern Area final but the gaffer is hoping for a repeat of last year's result at Sheffield United to get back to winning ways quickly.

"There's a good spirit about the players and they do get back on it very quickly and that's the progress that we've made as a club over the last nearly two years now. Every time we've lost we've always tried to be consistent and got back onto winning ways very quickly so there's no better way than suffering defeat then being back within a couple of days.

"I think every manager and evert player will say the same, they want to get back out there and put right a wrong situation, so it's a great opportunity and there's no bigger games in this division that Preston against Sheffield United and a good Yorkshire-Lancashire derby.

"We know we're in for a tough game, going to Bramall Lane is never an easy place to go but we proved last year that we could put on a real good performance and get the victory and hopefully that will be the case this weekend. It will be a tough task for us but hopefully it's an opportunity to get quickly back on it and try and get another three points after a disappointing result on Wednesday night.
