Preston North End’s Paul Gallagher still believes that the Lilywhites can climb off the canvas and deliver a knockout blow to Walsall following a disappointing night at Deepdale.
But Gallagher says write PNE off at your pearl.
“It was a very disappointing night; we started the game a bit sloppy first ten minutes and then we grew into the game,” Gallagher told PNE Player.
“Their ‘keeper has made a few really good saves and by half-time I thought we should have been one or two goals up.
“Fair play to Walsall, they came here with a game plan and it worked for them and we have got a hard job now to get back in it, but I believe in the squad we have got, and when you look at the players that weren’t even on the bench tonight, we can go there and get a result.”
