SEB Happy With PNE Honesty

22 January 2015

Sylvan Ebanks-Blake is up and running at PNE. He got his first goal on Tuesday night and is now looking to kick on in 2015.

The new PNE No.40 spoke to The One And Only ahead of this weekend’s FA Cup fourth round tie and admitted that the Club and the manager’s honesty with him from the start played a big part in him signing.

“I think as a player, all you need and all you want is honesty,” Sylvan told the matchday programme. “I have been lucky to have that under the managers that I have worked with and I work well in that environment.

“I am finding everything really good and I have settled in really well.

“I was in  at the Club for four or five weeks training, building my fitness up, getting to know the lads, getting to know the coaching staff and what they expect, and when I signed the contract it was an easy decision and an easy transition so I am delighted.

“It has been a unique experience for both player and manager really because normally you sign a player and you only really watch them play for their previous club, so this experience is a bit different for both parties. But I am glad it has worked out and now I have signed the contract there is still a lot more work to do.

“It fills me with confidence that the coaching staff decided to give me a contract after having me training at the Club.

“I have said this before but they were very honest with me from the day that I came in and I knew what I had to do to try and earn a contract.

“I have now done that and I still know what I have got to do now to kick on and be a success at this Club, so that is what I am focused on doing.”

This weekend’s 32-page FA Cup special also includes a special four page young fan’s pull out, an interview with Jermaine Beckford, half a dozen pages on our opponents and Alan Browne taking the 21 questions challenge.

All this and more, still for the fantastic value price of just £2. They will be on sale from Friday afternoon from the Club shop, online and in person from our sellers inside and outside of Deepdale on matchday.
