Football Special To Run For MK Dons Clash

27 July 2015

In partnership with official Club sponsor Virgin Trains, Preston North End will be running a football special once again for the visit to stadium:mk next month.

After the success of last year's offer, the direct train will run once again from Preston to Milton Keynes Central and back again after the game, with buses provided at either end to get you to the stadium and back again.

The fixture marks the first away league fixture of the 2015/16 season as the Lilywhites make their return to the SkyBet Championship, and we want as many North End fans as possible to be able to make the trip.

A spokesman for Virgin Trains was delighted that the deal could be offered for a second year running and said: “Like most fans we can’t wait for the new season to start.

"With memories of PNE’s fantastic 2014/15 campaign still fresh in the memory hopes are high they can make a real impact in the SkyBet Championship this year.

"It’s fantastic that we get an early chance to welcome everyone onboard for the trip to MK Dons and fingers crossed we get the same result as last season.”

The game takes place on Saturday 15th August, with a 3pm kick-off at stadium:mk and train tickets go on sale immediately.

The train is for Preston North End supporters travelling to the game, only, with just one stop on the way in both directions at Wigan North Western before arriving at Milton Keynes Central.

The train will depart Preston at 11.25am on the Saturday, collecting at Wigan at 11.35am with an arrival time of 13.25 in Milton Keynes. The transfer buses will then take you straight to the ground from the station.

The return train will depart Milton Keynes Central at 18.11, stopping off in Wigan at 19.47 and arriving back in Preston at 20.08.

Though it is unlikely, please be aware that train times are subject to minor changes of up to ten minutes.
