Simon Grayson Pleased With ‘Good Day For Everybody’

18 July 2015

Preston North End boss Simon Grayson was thoroughly satisfied with his side’s 1-0 victory over Heart of Midlothian at Deepdale.

In a fairly competitive contest between two good footballing sides, Joe Garner grabbed the only goal of the match following a Neil Alexander blunder in the hearts goal.

And with a decent crowd, good weather, a pleasing result and appositive workout, the gaffer was more than satisfied.

Speaking to PNE PlayerHD, Grayson said: “It is always really nice to be back on home soil after being away for the summer and a couple of pre-season games away from home; our one and only pre-season game at home, and I thought everything went to plan.

“It was a good workout for both teams, a good crowd, and really satisfying that Hearts have brought as many people down as they have done.

“Overall, it was a good day for everybody.”
