2015/16 Fixtures Released

17 June 2015

Preston North End will open the 2015/16 campaign at home to Middlesbrough to mark their return to the SkyBet Championship on 8th August.

Middlesbrough made the Championship Play-Off Final last season and so it provides a stern test for Simon Grayson's men as they start life in the second tier of English football.

North End came up against 'Boro during the last campaign in the Capital One Cup where North End's Jordan Hugill scored against his boyhood club and no doubt the 23-year-old will be looking for a repeat of that goal this time around.

The first away trip for the Lilywhites sees a visit to stadium:mk to face MK Dons on 15th August. Last season North End had a memorable away victory against Karl Robinson's side.

There are plenty of derby days to look forward to in the Championship, with Burnley, Blackburn Rovers and Bolton Wanderers all competing in the division.

The first of the derby ties comes at home to Bolton Wanderers on 31st October with the return fixture at the Macron Stadium on 12th March.

Simon Grayson's side will host Blackburn Rovers on 21st November  with the Lilywhites making the trip to Ewood Park on Saturday 2nd April.

Burnley play host to North End on 5th December at the start of a busy month for PNE, before the Clarets come to Deepdale for the second to last home game of the season in what is sure to be a fantastic atmosphere.

Other games that stand out are the Boxing Day tie with Huddersfield Town, a side previously managed by Simon Grayson.

The gaffer's affiliation with Leeds United is well known and so the final game of the season provides a mouthwatering encounter as Deepdale hosts Leeds United on 7th May.

The final home game will kick-off at 12.30pm on Saturday 7th May.

There are no Easter weekend fixtures this season, with the weekend falling on an international break.

The Club will be working closely with Virgin Trains to arrange charter trains for various away fixtures so please bear this in mind when making early travel arrangements. Details of these plans will be announced in due course.

Please remember that all fixtures are subject to change at this stage.

Matchday sales for the 2015/16 season will begin on Monday 6th July 2015 and match-by-match stand tickets will go on sale within three to four weeks of each game.

Corporate match-by-match tickets will also be on sale as of 6th July.
