It’s A Reality Now For Simon Grayson

17 June 2015

Manager Simon Grayson admitted being like a child before Christmas ahead of the fixture release and was looking forward to getting started.

The Lilywhites boss spoke to PNE.Com after receiving an early morning email ahead of 9am launch and couldn’t hide the fact his eyes were immediately drawn to the last game of the season.

“The excitement has been building over the past few days. All the work we have done to get us to this point becomes a reality today. Everyone gets excited about the release and especially the big games and dates.

“Every football fan from all over the country gets the same feeling and also the same sense of massive optimism – the whole list is mouth-watering and we couldn’t have had a much better start against a side who were at Wembley the day after we were.

“We all look for different things when the fixtures come out and it’s a big end to the season with Leeds and Burnley our last two home games, but there are plenty of other massive games before then.

“You have to play everyone twice, but the way they have fallen they aren’t too bad on our supporters. Yes we have to go to Charlton and Bristol City on Tuesday nights, but you can’t have them all fall perfectly, but most seem to be okay and I am sure we will have a massive following all over the country once again.”
