Preston North End will be seeded for the Capital One Cup first round draw which will take place on Tuesday 16th June.
The seeded teams will be split into two regional groups, and will be drawn against an unseeded team from the equivalent pot on a random home or away basis.
It means that North End will be denied a local derby in the first round, with Blackpool, Blackburn Rovers, Burnley and Fleetwood also amongst the seeded teams for the draw.
