Huntington Feels There's A Togetherness Between The Club And Fans

10 March 2015

Paul Huntington believes there is a real togetherness between everyone at Preston North End and it's something that the players thrive off.

There were almost 2,000 North End fans that made the trip to Milton Keynes for Saturday's match, and their vocal support throughout the match transferred to the pitch as PNE came out 2-0 winners over their promotion rivals.

The defender feels that the togetherness is there more than ever, within the dressing room, with the fans and the Club as a whole but knows there's still a long way to go this season.

"It [fans' support] was brilliant, it was a nice day for them as well which makes a change, the sun was shining just on that corner and it was nice that we could share the second half goals with them and they played a key part. We feel that as players, we get the backing off them and it's great for us.

"Even going over at the end of the game it felt as though we've got a great togetherness as a team and as a Club at the moment.

"But we can't pat ourselves on the back, we've got to build towards Saturday, prepare as we normally would and try and get another three points."

"If we look at it, we've got 12 games now and it doesn't sound a lot but it's sort of like a quarter of the season really so there's still quite a lot to play for. We know that and the staff and everyone are reminding us about that.

"After a victory or an away performance like we've had, you can enjoy it after the game and on the Saturday night but then from the Sunday the focus switches to the next game and that's what we are looking forward to now."
