Preston North End boss Simon Grayson welcomed Saturday’s point in an entertaining draw against Barnsley at Oakwell.
And, in the midst of a difficult run of fixtures, Grayson was pleased with how gentry day panned out on the pitch; the almost 3,000 PNE faithful excelling off it.
Speaking to PNE Player following the conclusion of the bruising encounter, Grayson said: “Coming here was a tough game for us, we knew that they were going to be at it with the good run they are on and how well they are playing.
“I just thought overall that it was a real good game to watch, both teams still trying to win it in the last five minutes.
“I think we had the clearer opportunities over the course of the game but while it is 1-0 you give the opposition that opportunity to get back into it.
“I’m satisfied with the point and seven points from nine this week has been a good accumulation for us.”
