Joe Looking To Put Things Right

5 May 2015

North End striker Joe Garner is hoping he and his teammates can make amends for Sunday's defeat by progressing in the play-offs.

The first leg of the semi-finals comes on Thursday night away to Chesterfield and the frontman is hoping to put things right and get a positive result on the road to give PNE the advantage in the second leg at Deepdale.

"The games come quick, with Thursday night so soon and there's only us who can put it right and get promotion.

"Sunday was tough, it didn't go to plan or how we wanted it to but we have to move on and we go into the game Thursday confident that we've lost one game in 19 and we will be ready for Chesterfield.

"The play-offs will be tough, we know that they will be tough but we will be ready, we will prepare for Chesterfield this next couple of days and we will go there confident that we can get a result like we've done already this year.

"The lads have been hurting, I think it's only normal that it's like that but we are the ones who can put it right and we will go out there on Thursday and give it our all to hopefully get a lead to come back to Deepdale with and hopefully get the job done at Wembley."
