Preston North End midfielder Neil Kilkenny was delighted as he and his teammates booked the club’s place at Wembley.
The Lilywhites led 1-0 at the break through Jermaine Beckford before Joe Garner slammed home from the penalty spot.
And then Beckford stole the show with an incredible 50 yard finish which beat Joe Murphy all ends up – a year to the day of THAT Joe Garner goal.
And Kilkenny was delighted with the way the players grasped their moment.
“We nicked a 1-0 win there and the lads defended great away from home,” the PNE No.8 said.
“We had to defend a bit as well today but we had some moments of quality, a lot more possession today, we had the chances and we took them.
“It was a fantastic performance and I am hoping, with all the lads, we will finish the job off now.”
