Paul Huntington, Paul Gallagher, Joe Garner and Kevin Davies were the men to take home the prizes at the Preston North End Player of the Year awards.
Huntington has been a rock in the PNE defence since returning to the league side at Gillingham in October – marking his comeback with a goal that night.
And an outstanding personal season ended for Huntington with the highest of highs, a goal at Wembley as North End clinched promotion to the Championship against Swindon Town.
That was Huntington’s ninth goal of the campaign – an incredible tally for a centre half.
Paul Gallagher was acknowledged by his peers with the Players’ Player of the Year.
The Scot, on loan from Leicester City, was another to shine at Wembley with two assists before succumbing to injury.
But it was his consistent form throughout the 2014/15 campaign which won him his accolade; along with 13 goals.
Joe Garner collected the Goal of the Season award – although the deadline for nominations may have helped after a stunning end to the season by Jermaine Beckford including his 45 yard effort against Chesterfield in the second leg of the Play-Off semi-final.
The selected goal was Garner’s chip against Port Vale at Deepdale in the Lilywhites’ 3-2 win in the Johnstone’s Paint Trophy – one of 27 scored by the League’s Player of the Year.
Kevin Davies was also recognised at the event with the Community Player of the Year Award.
The veteran frontman was an integral part of the Club’s ‘Shining Star’ campaign around Christmas and recently visited a terminally ill North End supporter in hospital’ just two examples of his terrific work in and around the north-west region.
Congratulations to all our winners in such a fantastic season for the Club!
