The day after he set up two goals at Wembley to help PNE on their way to promotion at Wembley, Paul Gallagher was named the Player's Player of the Year.
The togetherness and spirit within this season's squad has been no secret and the 30-year-old believes that, along with the amount of talent in the team, makes his award even more special.
"It's a great honour, but when I came here I wasn't looking to win a Player of the Year award, I wanted to win promotion, but to get both is a bonus, to get the Player's Player is a bonus and I would have been happy just with the promotion!
"To get recognised for what you've done over the season by your teammates is a special award and it's one that I will cherish for the rest of my life.
"That's because this team spirit and the players we have in this dressing room is special and to be recognised as their player of the year is a magnificent achievement."
