Wembley Rewind: Wright On Biggest Game Of PNE Career

22 May 2015

As the longest serving member of the current squad, Bailey Wright has been through ups and downs at Deepdale, but he's now preparing for the biggest game of his Club career.

Since joining the Club's academy six years ago, the Aussie defender's goals have evolved, with the latest of those winning promotion this weekend at Wembley.

"You sort of try and picture your life ahead and it's so difficult to know what's around the corner and all I wanted to do was get myself as part of the first team and make my debut and become a first team player.

"Once you did that then you start looking at your next goal and certainly one of them for a while now is it get promotion and people always say Wembley is the best way to do it so if we can do it that why it will be pretty special.

"This is the biggest game I've definitely played in, or been a part of for Preston, and hopefully it's a memorable one and for that to happen we need to win it.

"I've experienced some lows of relegation and struggles but now it's nice to be on the up and hopefully we can top it off.

"Obviously it's important to do it for the fans, obviously it's a massive club and we've seen all year the support they've given us and it's given us that added edge at home and especially away as well.

"It's been a big difference, a lot of the boys will be doing it for their families and individuals but all in all for the whole city and the Club it's important that we get back to where we belong and that's the Championship and hopefully we can put a lot of smiles on faces."
