Familiar Faces For Joe Garner

2 November 2015

Joe Garner will come up against a number of familiar faces on Tuesday night as he faces his former side Nottingham Forest.

North End host Dougie Freedman's side at Deepdale, and Garner is looking to get one over on his friends as they line up against each other, as PNE look for their first home win in the Championship this season.

"I've spoken to a few of the lads over there this week, obviously I'm looking forward to the game and there's nothing much better than beating your friends!"

"They've got a top squad, they've got a lot of players out, which would affect any team at this level, so it might be a good time to play them.

"I think the last time I played 90 minutes was against Brentford so it was a long time ago, so I was happy to be back out there Saturday, and I feel better for it.

The strikers are yet to get off the mark in the league this season, but last season's top goalscorer is confident the goals will come.

"As a striker you are always judged on your goals and it's one of those things, we are happy to have the pressure on us, we need to deal with that and move forward.

"All we can do is work hard and we are all confident in our own ability and that the goals will come.

"With players like Gally and DJ and Reachy out wide, the chances will come it's just a matter of taking them."
