Browne's Confidence At 'An All Time High'

27 October 2015

Alan Browne admits his confidence is at all all time high as he aims to cement a place in Simon Grayson's first team.

The 20-year-old, who has started eight games so far this season, featuring in a total of 13, has adapted well to life in the Championship, and the Irishman is hoping to keep that going throughout the season.

"I think I'm at all an time high at the moment confidence wise, I'm just enjoying playing and the gaffer has given me a chance and I'm looking to repay him.

"Every game I look to do that, it's a good experience for me, it was a bit up and down last season but hopefully this season I can stay on top of my game and keep playing."

The Republic of Ireland U21 midfielder has also impressed for his national side, and is enjoying the experience and hoping to bring the confidence from that into his game at PNE.

"I think anyone who goes away with their country wants to do well and thankfully I have been doing that with the U21s. We have been getting good results, I've been putting in good performances and getting a goal or two as well.

"Anytime I come back to the Club I try and do the same and my focus then changes to the Club and focus on the next performance so hopefully I can just keep it up."
