PNE captain Tom Clarke believes the team are confident ahead of this weekend's visit of Cardiff City.
After a difficult period results wise for North End, Clarke feels the international break has been beneficial and he and the players can't wait to get back out on the pitch.
"It's going to be a difficult game but we have prepared right and we are going into confident.
"The break has been good for us. We are very transparent as a group, if someones got something to say they will say.
"We've been having meetings and watching videos of what we can improve on. We are in a tough league, there are good players and they are tough to break down." Continued Clarke.
"We want to work hard and prepare right for the games and I think these couple of weeks we have done that and got the work in.
"It's given us a few weeks to work on things as a team, we've talked about a lot in the meetings so it's been good. Speaking to the lads now, everyone is just raring to go for Saturday now."
