Gaffer Looking To Put On A 'Real Performance'

15 October 2015

Manager Simon Grayson is hoping his side can express themselves against Cardiff City after positive international break.

The North End squad have had chance to work on a number of areas over the last two weeks and the gaffer is hoping to see the benefits of that at Deepdale on Saturday.

"We want to be positive, put on a real performance of spirit and energy and quality and hopefully all of those ingredients will lead to a win for us.

"We are aware of the threats that Cardiff have but we've got to take the belief and confidence that we've got, use the positives from tour last homeperformance against Wolves, and also the last half an hour of the Sheffield Wednesday game.

"We certainly dominated the last period of that game, so we've got to maintain that belief and keep doing the right things and eradicate the mistakes.

"They have been simple mistakes that we've been making and we need to be a bit more ruthless in both boxes.

"Cardiff will have seen what a spirited group we are and the quality we have at times, and we will be going out to try and get that win that we so desperately need."
