Gally Delighted To Be Back In Action

19 October 2015

Paul Gallagher was happy to be back out on the pitch on Saturday after a spell on the sidelines with injury.

The 31-year-old completed his first 90 minutes since his injury on Saturday against Cardiff City, and admitted it felt good to be back in the side.

"It was just great to be back out there, it's been a long month for me personally and it was nice to get back out there in front of the fans again.

"I thought we played ok, but maybe in front of goal we snatched a little bit, but in the end it was a good point as it could have gone either way.

North End have found wins hard to come by recently, but with plenty of positives to take from their performances so far, the Scot feels it's only a matter of time before they convert the performances into wins.

"When you see yourself down there in the league you do start snatching at things and you shoot when you could probably have a bit of time to have a touch, but I'm sure if we keep creating these chances, it will go in.

"We've got to try and make our own luck as well and it's down to us on the pitch to keep working hard, and keep up the work rate and the team spirit and I know that it will change.

"It's so tight and with a couple of back to back wins in this division you can go half way up the table. We will just keep working hard, keep working at our game and concentrate on ourselves.

"We need to keep that team spirit together because that's massive for us and if we add that little bit more quality in front of goal then I'm sure we will be fine."
