Jordan Hugill ' Absolutely Buzzing' To Sign New Deal

15 October 2015

Striker Jordan Hugill was delighted to sign a new two and half year contract at Preston North End.

The new deal keeps the 23-year-old at Deepdale until the summer of 2018, and the striker is looking forward to his future at the Club.

"I'm absolutely buzzing to get a new contract and I can get my head down now for the next few years and see where I go from there.

"This is a big boost confidence wise, there's nothing more you want as a footballer than to know you're secure for the next two and half years.

"I can just concentrate on my game now and try and repay the faith the manager has shown in me.

"Obviously with my sending off earlier in the season, he wasn't too happy and it took me a while to get back in around the team.

"Now I'm here I don't want to go anywhere and I will be working hard to keep my position.

The striker was playing non-league football three years ago, and Hugill certainly appreciates the position he is in, and hopes to continue to progress in the coming years at PNE.

"Coming from non-league, and coming through late, you can only appreciate what you've got.

"This is unbelievable for me considering where I was three years ago, to now sign a new deal here is unbelievable.

"Two or three years ago when I did my cruciate, I was playing non-league football it's just unbelievable to think how far I've come.

"That makes me hungrier keep getting better and better and hopefully the performances will start coming."
