Latest signing Paddy McCarthy is looking forward to the challenge ahead with North End, after he signed on loan from Crystal Palace.
The defender teamed up with the PNE boys on Friday morning before making the trip to Sheffield with the squad, and the 32-year-old can't wait to get going with North End.
"I'm delighted to be here, when I heard there was interest I jumped at the chance to come up here and I'm excited for the challenge ahead.
"I've played a lot of games in the Championship and we've got a decent squad here so hopefully I can add something to that."
"I'm looking forward to the challenge and if I can bring a bit of experience then hopefully I can make a difference.
Paddy hasn't played alongside any of his new teammates before, and feels the upcoming international break will provide the perfect opportunity to get to know the lads better and settle in to the squad.
"I've come across most of the lads throughout my career apart from the younger boy. I've always kept a keen eye on teams right the way through the Football League so I am aware of who everyone is.
"The international break will give me two good weeks of training and give me a chance to get to know the boys better and get to know the local area and get to know how the whole football club works.
"I'm really looking forward to it and I'm delighted to be here and I can't wait to get started."
