Midfielder Alan Browne admits that silly mistakes led to the defeat against Sheffield Wednesday at Hillsborough.
Browne, who scored North End's only goal of the game, believes that the mistakes could have been avoided and that PNE were capable of coming away with three points on the day.
"It's disappointing considering the goals that they scored. We gifted them two goals and then the one at the end counts for nothing really, we had to go for it but we got caught on the break.
"I think we could have won this game easily as we could have prevented both goals, they just came from silly mistakes, but it's just unfortunate because we played well and we went for it.
"We had them rattled at the end but we just couldn't find that second goal.
"I think if we had prevented that first goal just before half-time it would have been a completely different game but it didn't happen for us."
