Defender Greg Cunningham was pleased with how PNE's performance in the second half, and felt they did't have luck on their side today.
North End came out after half-time full of energy and created a number of chances, and Cunningham felt the result could have been very different on another day.
"Second half we created a lot of chances and obviously there was one that Garner hit off the post, then a great save from Grant for Doyle's effort and it could have easily been a different story but we were a lot more positive second half.
"Maybe we showed them a little bit too much respect in the first half, but second half we showed great character to come back into the game and it was really backs against the wall for them, and we were unlucky not to get the rub of the green with those two chances.
"When we went three up top we created more chances and the two new boys are great players. We were delighted to get the two boys in and they've shown already from the time that they had on the pitch today what they can do."
