Neil Kilkenny scored a stunning goal to give PNE the lead against his former club before it was cancelled out late on by Aaron Wilbraham.
The midfielder was disappointed not to come away with the three points after taking the lead, but was pleased to get on the scoresheet, and admits goalscoring is something he wants to bring into his game more.
"After going 1-0 up it's very disappointing not to win the game, but we will take a point.
"Going in front I feel we should have seen out the game, they had a couple of chances, and so did we but in the end we will take a point and we have to move on.
"Obviously it was nice to score, people say I should shoot more and I know I don't shoot enough.
"I do get the opportunity sometimes but I prefer to try and lay it on to other people but maybe I should shoot more and it's something people have been telling me my whole career, because I can score, I just maybe don't show it often enough."
