Gareth Southgate brings his England U21 side to Deepdale this evening, as part of their prepartion for the European qualifiers which start next week.
It is Southgate's last chance to see his young lions in action before they face Norway in the first game of their European Championship qualifying campaign on Monday 7th September.
There will be plenty of talent on show at Deepdale, with a number of up and coming stars in Southgate's squad for the game.
Some of those involved include Liverpool pair Jordan Ibe and Joe Gomez, who have both made impressive starts to the new season with the Merseyside club.
Other names who could grace the Deepdale pitch tonight include Calum Chambers, Nathaniel Chalobah, James Ward-Prowse, James Wilson and Nathan Redmond, who are already making a name for themselves in the game with their respective clubs.
One name that will stand out for the regulars at Preston North End will be goalkeeper Jordan Pickford. The on-loan Sunderland 'keeper has made a big impression since joining PNE in the summer, and it led to his first call up to the U21 squad, and he could make his debut at Deepdale this evening.
Speaking about Pickford ahead of the game, Southgate said:"Jordan went with our U20s last year to Toulon and he coped with that very well and I think he's started this season very well.
"I saw him play at Milton Keynes, he was very positive with dealing with balls into his box, he has a calmness about him and he's a good talker and a good character so he's in a great position to try and claim that shirt.
Tickets for the game on sale through to kick-off and are prices at £10 for adults, and £5 for U18s, over 65s and students with a valid ID.
Preston North End season ticket holders can purchase tickets at half price for this game, so there's no reason not to head down and support the stars of the future.
