First team coach Steve Thompson is enjoying his time at PNE so far, after joining the Club in the summer.
Thompson teamed up with manager Simon Grayson once again when he joined the backroom staff at North End ahead of the 2015/16 season, and he spoke exclusively to PNE PlayerHD about the season so far.
"I'm really enjoying it. We are holding our own in most of the games, and when you look through the fixtures we've had a really tough start.
"We've played teams who should be in the top six and we've held our own against them, and we've been in games where we felt we should have won.
"We've been in game, we know it's going to be tough, but we don't get carried away when we have good results and we've got a good group of lads with a fantastic team spirit.
"You've got staff who are willing to work hard as well, and I'm thoroughly enjoying it and hopefully we can get a few good results soon."
