Callum Wants To Finish On A High

14 April 2016

On-loan Aston Villa striker is looking to finish his current loan spell on a high, starting this weekend against MK Dons.

The 21-year-old has enjoyed his time with PNE once again, after two previous loan spells with the Club, and wants to play his part for the remainder of the season.

"I enjoy it with the lads here and enjoy the fans here and I like it here. I needed to get the game time and prove to some people that I can do it at this level.

I've tried my best, I had to get fit at the start and then got myself in and I just want to finish the season on a high now.

"Hopefully I can get a few starts, and that's my aim. I want to be heavily involved in the last five games of the season."

The last time Callum faced MK Dons was in a PNE shirt almost 12 months ago in the race for promotion from League One, and Robinson knows this is just as big a game for different reasons.

"Around 12 months ago we went down there, it was big game in League One, and we got the result and I was lucky enough to get a goal. This season they will be fighting for every point so it will be a big game. I think the lads will be going into it as positive as we can.

"I think we should be getting at them, they are down there for a reason and we are higher in the league for a reason so I think we should get at them.

"We shouldn't give them too much respect, obviously they will be fighting and they have a lot of good players, as has everyone in this league.

"We have lost the last two games but I think the character within the group of lads, when it comes to Saturday against MK Dons, we will be fine and raring to go and be as positive as we have been all season."
