PNE First Team Visit Soccer School

14 April 2016

Attendees of yesterday's soccer school were joined by some of the Preston North End first team!

John Welsh, Marnick Vermijl, Mathew Hudson, Clive Smith, Greg Cunningham, Eoin Doyle, Calum Woods and Liam Grimshaw all came down to PNE's soccer school at PlayFootball, Ingol where kids had their photos taken with the players and had their shirts signed, and one of those eight, Cunningham, who is Preston North End's PFA ambassador for sports particpation for 2015/16 spoke to the Club website on a great day all round.

"It's very important for us as role models to go down to the soccer camps," said the Irishman after putting the sharpie away.

"It's nice for us as players to be able to go down and have the chance to sign a few shirts for them and put a few smiles on their faces. That's just part and parcel of being a footballer.

"I went to these soccer schools camps when I was younger and I know how fun it is for the kids to spend their days playing football. As players, we love being able to visit the camps and you can tell the kids are having the time of their lives playing football."

Next week marks the last of four weeks of soccer camps ran by North End this easter, but places are still available for £12 a day or £50 for the week.

Kids aged from five to 14 years can take part, and to book your child onto our soccer school for next week, call 01772 693309 or emailcommunity@pne.com
