Reach Right On Target

28 April 2016

Adam Reach feels he has acheived everything he had hoped for from his loan at Deepdale.

The on-loan Middlesbrough winger has featured heavily in North End's first season back in the Championship, and his pleased with his progress while at PNE.

"Everything that I set out to acheive here I have done, I have got some valuable game time, I have played just about every game.

"I feel like my game has improved by playing, I've helped Preston to achieve what could be a top ten finish which is brilliant. All in all when I look back at this it's been a successful period.

Reach has been praised my Aitor Karanka during his spell with the Lilywhites, something that is appreciated by the 23-year-old.

"When you are out on loan it's nice to know that you are still cared about at your parent club and obviously Middlesbrough have got important games coming up and obviously promotion is their main priority.

"I hope they do it so I can go back and be a Premier League player but like I've said before, I've enjoyed being at Preston and it's been better than sitting on the bench at Middlesbrough.

For now though, Reachy's focus is solely on the two remaining games of the season, where he and his teammates are looking to secure a top ten finish.

"None of the players have got their flip flops on and ready for the summer holidays, we are 100 per cent trying to finish in that top ten.

"It would be a magnificent acheivement, the Championship is a different league now, clubs are spending millions to try and get up so with this club's budget it would be magnificent to finish in the top ten.

"In all fairness we weren't too far away from a Play-Off push, a couple of disappointing results in the last month and a half meant we dropped away, but it's important that we finish in the top ten.

"If we were to drop in to the bottom half it would put a sour taste in the mouth at the end of the season."
