Greg Cunningham is looking forward to a return to a former club when PNE face Nottingham Forest on Wednesday night.
The Irishman spent a year on loan at the club during the 2011/12 season while at Manchester City and has fond memories of his time at the City Ground.
North End go into the game on the back of a 3-2 derby win over Blackburn Rovers and the 25-year-old feels it's important to build on that this week.
"It was nice to bounce back after the result against Sheffield, and obviously to win the derby game was important for the club and for the fans with regards to the bragging rights and it got us back on track again.
"We have two tough away games coming up, but obviously the confidence is back flowing again and we are looking forward to trying to get some good results.
The trip to Forest is the first of two away games for the Lilywhites, both of which see Cunningham face former clubs of his.
Speaking of his time with the Reds, the left back continued: "I had a season at Forest a good few years ago now but I like playing there, it's a lovely ground and there's always a great atmosphere there.
"It's obviously a club that's steeped in history but that's in the past, I'm here now and looking forward to going there and doing what I can for the team and getting a good result.
"Forest set up solid at the back with the three centre halves and they are scoring a lot of goals so we need to make sure we are set up well defensively away from home and try and frustrate them as much as we can and we know we have the fire power to go on and win the game.
"We've worked on the training pitch Monday and Tuesday with regards to how we are going to set up,we all know our jobs and we just need to make sure that we can execute the game plan correctly on Wednesday."
