North End’s Whites Christmas campaign saw several players visit residents of Finney House.
Located just a stone throw away from the ground and named after Preston’s famous son, Finney House opened this summer and has the capacity to house a total of 32 residents.
Residents, some of whom were PNE fans shared stories to the players of years gone by and took the opportunity to have some memorabilia signed and their photos taken.
One player who was more than happy to meet the residents was captain Clarke who was interested to hear what the residents had to say.
Clarke said: “It was great to be given the opportunity to have a look around and meet some of the residents - some of whom are big North End fans who were speaking about the old times at Preston so it was good to get the general feeling of it all.
“I drive past it every day going to the stadium or the training ground but despite that, you don’t truly know what’s going on but going in today shows us what it’s like and meeting all of the people.”
Coverage of North End’s Whites Christmas campaign will be shown throughout the week on the club website and through the Community and Education Trust’s social media pages, on Facebook: PNECET and on Twitter @pnecommunity.
