Whites Christmas: Players Visit Home Of North End Supporters

13 December 2016

Preston North End's Whites Christmas campaign saw members of the PNE squad turn up on the doorstep of two unknowing PNE fans.

Father and son, Bobby and Jayden Brown are avid supporters of the Lilywhites, but have been unable to attend games since the birth of Kaydie, who has endured health problems since being born.

As a Christmas treat for them both, Lisa, wife of Bobby and mum of Jayden wanted to surprise them both with a special North End themed gift, so nominated the pair for a Whites Christmas surprise.

Kaydie's need for 24 hour care has meant coming to watch PNE isn't possible for the duo, so Lisa organised with the club to bring Preston North End to them.

Ben Davies, Mathew Hudson, Tommy Spurr and Liam Grimshaw arrived at the door of the Brown family bearing a signed shirt and selection boxes, and Lisa admitted even she was over-whelmed by the whole visit.

On finding out about PNE's Whites Christmas campaign, she said: "I remember seeing on social media to apply for a Christmas wish so I applied and here you are; I still can't believe you're all here!

"I wanted to nominate them because they're massive North End fans. Anything to do with PNE, they want it, however,  because we've got a little girl we can't get out that much and I know prior to her being born Bobby use to go to the matches all of the time.

"You could tell how much they support PNE just by how excited they both were when the players showed up at our house.

"Jayden won't sleep at all tonight - this will be him up until the weekend now!"
