Momentum Is Key For Lindegaard

22 February 2016

Since arriving at Deepdale, goalkeeper Anders Lindegaard has overseen a four game unbeaten run.

On top of that, the great Dane has conceded just two goals and played his part in the Lilywhites recording three victories in three games, with Saturday’s win over Sheffield Wednesday the latest game Simon Grayson’s side have taken three points.

And now that momentum has been built, the shot-stopper is keen for that motion to continue going into tomorrow’s clash at Deepdale against Charlton.

“We’ve built momentum now and we need to carry on going,” said Lindegaard to PNE PlayerHD earlier today.

“Momentum is key in football. You can see what’s happening with Leicester at the moment - they have momentum, that magic and that X-Factor in the team and you feel there’s a good energy in this place also.

“There’s some very good people here that want to create something. There’s a great deal of respect for everyone, and there’s a relaxed atmosphere and a good environment to create something special.

“There isn’t an expectancy for us to reach the top six which is fine – the league is so tight and anything can happen.

“We’ve put ourselves in a comfortable situation looking at the main goal of the season which is to avoid relegation.

“We’ve already exceeded expectations so there’s not as much pressure so we can enjoy it more, and that can lead to something great I believe.”
