Adam Reach described North End as different class after picking up the three points at Molinuex.
North End dominated the game with a terrific performance on the road, and Reach praised the team after the game.
"From start to finish we were different class today against a Wolves side who might be struggling a bit but are still a massive club in the Championship.
"I thought for an away performance we frustrated them but also played some nice football when we could and went 2-0 up and from then the game was over really.
The 23-year-old impressed throughout the match, playing in a more advanced role at the top of the pitch and scoring what proved to be the winner early in the second half.
Speaking of his new position, Reach continued: "I'm learning every game, it's not my natural position, but it's one that I think with practice I can improve on.
"I enjoyed playing there at Derby, and I enjoyed it even more today. Obivously I got the second goal, and I'm also claiming the first one as well!
"Playing up top with Garns, I get a lot of flick ons from him, and also picking up balls in the pockets off Browney, Gally and DJ and I thoroughly enjoyed it.
The Lilywhites played some good football throughout the match, and even at 2-0 up, looked for a third, and the on-loan Middlesbrough man was happy with the all round performance of the team.
"Hard work and commitment is a given really in the Championship, all eleven players need to have that and we have that every game.
We had that again today, and we also pressed high, we got on top of the game and I really thought we played some nice football.
"We managed the game well, we knew when to push up the field but we also kept the ball well and over the 90 minutes I thought we played really well."
