Browne Only Looking Up

16 January 2016

Midfielder Alan Browne was happy with PNE's points return in recent weeks, and admits the team are only looking up the table.

Speaking to PNE PlayerHD after the 1-1 away to Ipswich Town, the Irishman feels PNE can continue to climb the table if recent performances are anything to go by, and knows the team has the quality to do that.

"When you pick up ten points from 12 I don't think anyone can have any complaints. We've worked hard on and off the pitch and the results are showing that now and I don't think there's much that separates the lower half of the division from the teams at the top.

"We have really good quality within the team and everybody knows that coming into these kind of games that we've always got a chance.

"I know a few people look at the teams below us and see us pulling away, but I think we can look at those above us and go and catch them. If we keep putting in the performances that we have done recently then there's no reason why we can't do that."

It's back to Deepdale next for PNE after a long week away, but Browne was quick to praise the fans for their support over the week, after spending a lot of time and money supporting the boys away from home.

"It's been a long week being away from home and all of the travelling we have done, but credit to the fans who have shown up at the last two games, they have been incredible and they've got us over that line when maybe we were a bit fatigued. We've dug in deep and got two good results."
