Harrison Full Of Pride After Cup Win

13 January 2016

Academy manager Nick Harrison was proud of his players after they came from behind to secure a 2-1 in in the FA Youth Cup.

A last minute winner from Adam Robinson after an earlier goal from Sean Whelan  helped seal a place in the last 16 of the competition, and the Academy boss was delighted to see his side progress.

The reward for the victory is a home tie at Deepdale against either Oldham Athletic or Luton Town, and it's a game the whole squad will be looking forward to.

"I'm very proud of the lads, it was a very professional performance, they came here and go the job done and we're delighted.

"They are made up with the win and we are very, very proud of the group.

"We are into the next round now and we are delighted to get a home tie, it was a long trip for the boys down to Exeter, it's been a great experience for them but we are certainly looking forward to playing at Deepdale.

"At Deepdale we have an unbelievable pitch, it's an amazing stadium and the lads are really looking forward to that.

"We will see who we get, Oldham or Luton, but whoever we get, we will be looking forward to the game."
