High Hopes For Hunts

21 January 2016

Paul Huntington is hoping PNE can continue their recent run of form when Brentford come to Deepdale on Saturday.

North End go into the came on the back of three wins in four league games, and the squad will be looking to build on the confidence of recent results against the Bees.

"This weekend will be another tough game but we are full of confidence, and we are full of belief at this moment in time.

"We are looking to kick on and keep the run going that we are on at the moment.

"We knew we had under-performed against Huddersfield on Boxing Day and I think we've gone about our business well since then.

"We can't rest on our laurels, we've got to keep it going because we know what a few results can do in this league." Continued the 28-year-old.

"That's shown in the last three or four games and we are looking up at the teams we can catch now.

"That's a sign of the progress we've made but we know we've got to keep doing the basics well and working hard in training."

Should North End pick up the three points on Saturday, Simon Grayson's men could move into the top half of the table, something that Huntington feels would be a mental boost for the squad.

"I think mentally that would be big for us. Obviously with the last couple of games we could have sneaked in there but for other results.

"We are looking to acheive that, we will take it game at a time but that's got to be the aim to drive us on and to keep us improving.

"I don't see any reason why we can't do that, as long as we keep doing the things that we're doing, I'm sure we will keep improving, the squad will keep getting stronger and growing in confidence.

"We've got a lot of belief in ourselves and we are looking to carry that on."
