Manager Simon Grayson is looking forward to getting back to Deepdale this weekend for the first time in three weeks.
The team and fans alike have been racking up the miles in recent weeks with three away trips, but PNE are back on home turf on Saturday as Brentford visit PR1.
After two wins in the last two home games, the PNE boss is hoping for a similar result this time around, but knows it won't be easy against a good Brentford side.
"It was a tough week as we've mentioned but hopefully we can put on a performance again.
"It will be a tough game against Brentford but we will be positive in our approach, making sure that we do the right things.
"I think the last game against Rotherham was a great atmosphere, where the fans really got behind the team in that second half and ultimately led us to the late winner.
"Hopefully we can have the same sort of attitude from the players and the same atmosphere from the fans and the same result would be nice.
North End suffered defeat at Griffin Park in the return fixture earlier in the season after a disappointing second half performance, but the manager knows his side have progressed and reacted well since that game.
"At the time we went to Brentford and they were struggling for results, the manager was under pressure. If we had gone down at this stage of the season now under the same circumstances, the players would have been a lot wiser and a lot clearer on what they needed to do and I'm sure we would have won that game.
"It happens in football though, you've got no divine right to win but we responded after that and we look forward to playing a good football club who have some good players, a new manager, and hopefully we can continue this good run that we are on at the moment."
