Reach Feeling Fresh

27 January 2016

On loan winger Adam Reach is feeling fresh now he is back in action after two games out through injury.

Reach suffered a knock in the warm-up prior to the Bristol City tie earlier this month, but returned to the starting Xl against Brentford at the weekend and feels fitter than ever after the short break.

"At the end of the last game I felt one of the best I've ever felt. It sounds strange but sometimes an injury can come and it can give you a break from the first team.

"I missed two games unfortunately, but looking back now, it's made me stronger to continue going.

"I've had a little break, and and my energy is back and I feel good, I got a goal at the weekend so hopefully that can continue now."

Next up for PNE is a trip to promotion hopefuls Derby County who currently sit fifth in the Championship, but their position in the league doesn't concern Reach, after PNE have come away with a number of fantastic results away from home this season against the top sides.

Speaking to PNE PlayerHD about the game, Reach continued: "We've gone away from home to teams in the top six like Brighton, Ipswich and Burnley and we've come away with positive results, so I expect nothing less on Tuesday."

"Naturally their focus will be on Manchester United and not the Preston game, so hopefully the adrenaline and the atmosphere of that game can zap some of the energy from them and we can capitalise on that.

"But Derby are a good team no matter what team they put out and we just need to make sure we go there with a plan and hopefully come away with some points."
