Sam Enjoying Life On Loan

14 January 2016

On-loan goalkeeper Sam Johnstone is enjoying being back at North End, and has helped PNE to six points from six since returning to the Club.

Speaking to PNE.Com ahead of this weekend's game against promotion hopefuls Ipswich Town, Johnstone is happy with PNE's progress in the Championship and hopes that the recent run can continue on Saturday.

"It's good to be back, two wins in two games since I've been here so I can't complain.

"We're on a great run, in this league there are some very big teams but I think anyone can beat anyone.

"The performances the lads have put in in the two games I've been here have been very good, we deserved to win both games and I'm sure the lads deserved the wins before then as well.

"This team sticks together, and I think that also comes from last year, with it being a very similar group of lads, and they've stuck together and taken that into the Championship.

"I think teams are finding it hard to play against us."

Speaking of this weekend's trip to Portman Road, the 22-year-old continued: "I think it will be a tough game, but we are solid, we've had three wins on the bounce in the league, and we will take that into the game.

"If we stick together like we have done, and like we did last season and this season, the manager gets the best out of the players and I think the lads reward him with the results like we have done recently.

"We are away all week, it's a good idea because you're not getting back late, trying to recover then travel again, we can do all of our recovery here and be fresh for Saturday.
