Glynn Snodin Pleased With 'Tempo'

26 July 2016

North End's assistant Glynn Snodin spoke to PNEPlayerHD following PNE's comprehensive 4-1 victory over Morecambe tonight.

A brace from Callum Robinson and goals from Ben Pringle and Jordan Hugill ensured the Lilywhites travelled back down the M6 with victory in their penultimate game of the pre-season calendar.

Speaking after the game, Snodin was complimentary of the players approach and felt that the group aren't too far away of what's expected of them come the start of the campain

"It was a great tempo," said 'Snods'.

"It's not easy to come to a ground like Morecambe who set off at a good pace.

"The lads adapted extremely well; it was a professional performance and one that we're happy with.

"We're making sure everybody gets the right minutes under our belt; you can't predict what's going to happen between now and August 6th but we've got to make sure we're ready for the start of the season.

"You can train as much as you want but it's about match practice and we've been doing that. Everybody's looking sharp and ready to be chosen for the 6th August although we've still got a game against Bolton on Saturday."

North End's 4-1 win over the hosts' tonight saw three different scorers on the scoresheet and Snods added that the goals tonight would do their confidence the world of good with the domestic schedule just around the corner.

"It's fantastic for them," he continued. "I thought there was two great team goals today and some great individual goals.

"It was a great finish from Callum and a fantastic strike by Ben Pringle."

For more reaction from the assistant coach, head to PNE PlayerHD tomorrow morning.
