Pringle Delighted With PNE Move

4 July 2016

North End's latest recruit Ben Pringle was delighted to join the Club after signing a three-year deal.

The midfielder put pen to paper on a move to Deepdale on Monday, and can't wait to get started.

Speaking of the move, the 27-year-old said: "I'm delighted, it's been a bit of a whirlwind since last week and I'm delighted with the deal and I'm looking forward to it.

"It's a massive club, a big club with lots of history and I'm just looking forward to getting started."

The former Rotherham United man had heard rave reviews about PNE that helped to make his decision, in addition to what he already thought about the Club.

"I spoke to Andy Longergan and Craig Morgan, who I knew from Rotherham, and they couldn't speak highly enough of the place, the stadium, and they told me it was a really good club and one that I should be proud to sign for."

The focus is now on meeting his teammates for the first time at training, as he and his new teammates prepare for the 2016/17 season.

"There's a couple of faces that have stayed since the League One season when I was at Rotherham, then looking at the following season when they got promoted, everyone looks at Preston as a solid, hardworking team that's hard to beat and that showed with where they finished last season.

"The gaffer has managed to keep the majority of the team and the player together, so for me and everyone else we will be looking to build on that this season and see where it takes us."
