Doyle Delighted By PNE Return

29 June 2016

After signing a permanent deal at North End, striker Eoin Doyle is delighted to be back at Deepdale.

The Irishman spent the majority of last season on loan at the Club, and has made the move permanent this summer after signing a three-year contract.

The 28-year-old admitted it was an easy decision to return to PNE, after an enjoyable spell last term.

"The minute I walked in to the changing room the lads were great, they made me settle very easily.

"Even though I was only a loan player, I didn't really feel that I was a loan player all season so it was a very easy decision to make.

"It's a tight group, all of the lads fight really hard for each other because they all like each other and they're willing to put in the extra effort and that helps massively come game day.

With a three-year deal, the frontman knows his future is secure and is looking forward to trying to make his time at the Club successful.

"I'm very grateful that the staff wanted me back and were willing to get the signing done so I'm delighted to be back.

"The family is happy that we are going to be here for the next three years at least, it's a massive weight off the shoulders and it's nice to have.

"It felt like I wasnt' a loan player last year but it's always in the back of your mind and that's not the case now which is brilliant.

"I know I've got a good few years here at this club and hopefully they are very successful."
