PNE Host Hartlepool In EFL Cup

Preston North End will host Hartlepool United in the first round of the EFL Cup.

The draw was made on Wednesday afternoon by former England midfielder Ray Wilkins live on Facebook.

The League Two outfit will make the trip to Deepdale and will be North End's first home game of the 2016/17 campaign.

The Lilywhites have a good record against Pools, winning the last four games between the two sides.

The first round ties are to take place on the week commencing 8th August, a confirmed date and full details will be announced in due course.
