Calum Woods wants North End to get back to winning ways this weekend after ending a four game wining run last weekend.
Prior to last Saturday's defeat to Cardiff City, the Lilywhites had picked up ten points from the previous five games, and Woods is hoping PNE can bounce back against Brighton on Saturday and believes the team spirit can play a big part.
"It's been a really good month for us, we had four wins on the bounce, so it's been great for everyone, great for our confidence.
"Obviously is was disappointing last week with the result but hopefully on Saturday we can get back to winning ways.
"The team spirit here is the best I've been involved in, it's a really big thing to have in the team and if you've got that in your team you never know where that can take you. We just look at each game as it comes and see what happens.
"These are the teams we want to be playing against, you want to be playing against the top teams and test yourself, so we are looking forward to it.
"We know what are going to be up against on Saturday against Brighton, we played them earlier on in the season away and we got a good result there.
"We know the players they've got, they've got a good team but we will be up for it. The fans have been brilliant all season as well so hopefully on Saturday that will be the same again."
Woods has started the last nine games for Simon Grayson's side and is feeling the benefits of a run of games, with three assists and some solid performances from the defender in recent weeks.
"I think every player, when they get a good run in the team, show what they are capable of doing for the team. Everyone in our team is the same, I've had a good run in the team now and I've been enjoying playing and I feel like I've been doing ok."
"It's what I want to be doing, that's what every footballer wants to do is to be playing every week so I've been really happy playing for the last month or so.
"I feel like when we play the 3-5-2 formation I've been getting further up the pitch and influencing the game a little bit more rather than sitting back more so I've been enjoying it.
