Forward Tom Barkhuizen is looking forward to training with the North End squad ahead of signing for the club in January.
Barkhuizen will sign a two-and-a-half year deal with PNE on 1st January and is looking forward to getting started.
Speaking of getting to know his new teammates, Barkhuizen said: "It was really important for me to come in as soon as possible to help me bed in for the six weeks before I sign.
"I think it will help me a lot because when I am ready for January I will already be used to how we play and how the lads play. I think it will be really beneficial for both myself and the club and I will hopefully be ready to go on 2nd January.
"I think more so because it's such a big step up. I am used to playing a certain way in League Two but obviously Championship football is a lot different.
"You are playing with better players, and some of them have played at an even higher level than this one so it is going to take a little bit of time I know that.
"Thankfully I have this time now to bed myself in and I just want to be ready for 2nd January for Burton away and hopefully by then everything will be fine and I will be settled in nicely and ready to go."
"I'm really looking forward to it, it's going to be a really exciting challenge for me and hopefully I can do well for this club and help the lads have a good season."
