Simon Grayson Nominated For Championship Manager Of The Month

Manager Simon Grayson has been nominated for the Sky Bet Championship manager of the month award.

The gaffer led PNE to three wins and a draw from five games against some of the top sides in the division to lift North End into the top half of the table. 

From was on a paper one of the toughest months of the season in terms of opposition, the Lilywhites started with a 2-0 win over Aston Villa at Deepdale, before earning a well deserved point against Brighton and Hove Albion on the road. 

It was back to Deepdale after that and another three points against high-flying Huddersfield Town, before a terrific win over another top side away to Norwich City in the penultimate league game of the month. 

The PNE boss faces tough competition from Newcastle United manager Rafa Benitez, Brighton boss Chris Hughton and Leeds United's Garry Monk. 

The winner will be announced on Sky Sports News at 6am on Friday 11th November. 

The judging panel comprises former Ipwsich Town manager George Burley, Sky Sports' EFL League expert Don Goodman; EFL Marketing Director Drew Barrand, League Managers' Association Director Olaf Dixon and Sky Bet Football Trading Manager Paul Lowery.
