Gaffer Looking To Maintain Standards

20 October 2016

Manager Simon Grayson wants his side to maintain the standards they have set in recent weeks.

After seven points in the last three games against the top sides, the manager has been pleased with the way his side have risen to the occassion so far this month, but isn't getting complacent with the games coming thick and fast.

"We knew this was going to be a tough month when you look at the fixtures on paper and the players have risen to the opportunity of trying to cause upsets and that is what we've done so far.

"We've been very good. The Huddersfield game was a real team effort with some good individual performances but collectively it worked out ever so well for the team.

"That's what you have to do, you have to make sure you work hard as a group and take opportunities, be ruthless and we did that against them."

The focus now switches to this weekend's trip to Norwich City, and the gaffer has called for the same high standards set in the recent performances in the league.

"Now we go to Norwich and another tough test. It's a different type of test for us. They are obviously a team that were in the Premier League last year, hey have got some some individuals, they've got as good an attacking threat as there is in this division.

"So we will have to be at it, we can't let our standards slip and we have to make sure that everybody is level-headed because if we let our standards slip then good players will take advantage of that."
